LightForce® Laser Therapy

LightForce® is a brand of Class IV laser therapy (also known as high-intensity laser therapy) used to reduce pain, decrease inflammation, and promote tissue healing. It’s commonly utilized in physical therapy, chiropractic care, and sports medicine for both acute and chronic conditions.

How It Works

LightForce lasers emit near-infrared light that penetrates deeply into soft tissues. This stimulates a cellular process called photobiomodulation, which:

• Enhances ATP (cellular energy) production
• Reduces inflammation
• Improves circulation
• Promotes tissue repair

Indications / Common Uses

• Acute injuries (sprains, strains, bruises)
• Chronic pain (low back pain, arthritis, neck pain)
• Post-surgical healing
• Sports injuries (tendonitis, muscle tears)
• Neuropathies and nerve pain
• Plantar fasciitis
• TMJ dysfunction
• Bursitis and tendinopathies

Considerations for Treatment

• Protective eyewear must be worn during use
• Should not be used over the eyes, thyroid, or pregnant abdomen
• Certain conditions (such as cancerous lesions) are contraindicated
• Class IV lasers can produce warmth—some patients may feel mild heat or tingling
